The world is full of extravagant and exquisite eateries, from their rare and delicious ingredients to their stylish and expensive décor this infographic shows you what it is like to dine in the world’s most expensive restaurants.

New York’s city’s Masa restaurant will set you back a cool $450 per person to indulge in their tasting menu, and that’s before you’ve even factored in your beverages, gratuity or tax! The stylish sushi restaurant has its fish flown in to Manhattan from Japan. It isn’t just the food that’s expensive here, the sush counter is made from a solid piece of Hinoki that is sanded daily to a soft, porous state.

The French have a reputation for fine dining, and the exquisite Maison Pic delivers it in spades. The restaurant, based in Valance, has become renowned for gathering Michelin stars. The restaurant has been run by three generations of the Pic family, current chef Anne-Sophie Pic her father Jacques Pic, and her grandfather, André Pic. All three Pics achieved three Michelin stars during their tenure. A meal here will cost in the region of $445 per person, which you can enjoy in a space decorated with in gilded wood, walls of precious Macassar wood, alcove silver painted cherry blossoms, crystal chandeliers, and even Louis XV dressers.

The world’s first underwater restaurant, Ithaa in the Maldives plates up seafood dishes from a location five meters below sea level. To enjoy the 23 course meal will cost approximately $300 per person, but the real treat is sitting in the expensive R-Cast acrylic tunnel among minimalist, high-end décor enjoying the natural beauty of the teeming sea life that surrounds the restaurant.

The Japanese have honed a method of growing the most delicious, tender beef in the world, and Tokyo based steakhouse Aragawa is the optimum choice to enjoy it in – that’s if you have the $368 per person. The restaurant only has six tables, underlining its exclusivity, and once you’re seated your are not allowed to choose your cut of steak, or how you would like it cooked as Aragawa has already chosen the best option.
